- Alone at home, and bored to death,
- The time is ticking In slow motion,
- Lazy bugs, gasping for breath,
- Outside, some strange commotion!
- Picking through the shade,
- One eye still partly closed,
- Seems like some kind of a crusade,
- Some deep matters publicly exposed?
- Hm..the background music rose
- Pushing the dreams back to sleep,
- The sun is shining and the wind blows
- I hear people and the car’s beep.
- Rushing downstairs to check for myself
- The huge poster is blocking my way
- Some leaflets left on the left corner shelf,
- On the square, people doing a role play.
- As strange as a dream, pulling me towards
- The small table with a big sign,
- Saying boldly ‘’ People, these are Free Hugs’’
- So I stepped with my feet on the colorful line.
- An African boy smiles at me and stares
- Deep into my eyes, without a shame,
- ‘’Let us hug’’, he says, ‘’who cares,
- Don’t hate me, cause on you I don’t put a blame.’’
- With tears in my eyes, i felt the pressure,
- His small hands around my waist,
- I experienced the biggest treasure,
- Love, peace, and solidarity I’ve now embraced.
- Looking puzzled around me,
- I had the feeling the world is there,
- He is hugging her, and I am hugging thee,
- Asian for Indian, White for African, they all do care.
- It wasn’t for too long until I had to inquire,
- What is this causing such a great in me reaction?
- A voice said, ‘’we love, we cherish, and inspire,
- What you see brother, is simply ‘’Youth in Action’’!
These feelings i put in my poems and the imagination seen on the photographs come straight from my heart and i decided to share them with you ♥
